"Happiest Girls Are the Prettiest" - Audrey Hepburn
This is one of my favorite quotes and really is a great model for self esteem. Avery's true spirit came out in full force at her first sixth grade dance. Long ago are the days of attending dances with her dad. They have been replaced with co-ed soirees filled with last minute jitters.
About a month ago, I wrote about the great dress search that took place at Nordstrom [link]. Thanks to the amazing sales associate, we found the perfect age-appropriate, classy dress that showed off Avery's inner and outer beauty.
I love how grown-up this dress, and how it reminds me of Audrey Hepburn's classic elegance. Avery is always dreaming of everything Paris. This dress is a perfect blend of the two. And it was a perfect fit on her.
I can't wait to share another "first" with Avery. I wonder what it will be!
